For supporters
Here's what it is and what to do with it. The short version: someone you both know has cancer, and a friend of theirs made a private page where people can write to them. You're invited. That's all it is.
I got a link
Someone who loves them built a private page for them here. We call it a campaign, but it's really just a page where the people who know them write notes, post photos, and, if they want to, chip in. It isn't public. The only way in is the link you were sent, and search engines can't find it.
A few honest sentences. They'll remember that you wrote, not how you phrased it.
The one from the lake, the terrible haircut, the time they drove you to the airport at 5am. Later, these can become a short film they get to keep.
By card, only if you want to, and only what you can. Most of what's on the page is words, and that's the point.
The question everyone asks
No.
Writing something counts. Really. If you do want to give, it's by card through Stripe, we don't take a percentage, and an optional tip covers the card fee.
We are not a charity, so gifts are not tax-deductible. See fees & payouts
When the cursor is blinking
The bar is lower than you think. People going through this rarely remember the exact words. They remember who wrote. Start with one of these.
Three things
“Three things I love about you: …”
A photo and the story behind it
“This photo says everything about you. The story behind it: …”
A memory and an offer
“Every time I think of you I think of … I'm so sorry you're in this. I'm around whenever you want to talk, or not talk.”
The short one
“I don't have the right words, but I'm here. Whatever you need.”

Before they open it
Until they open it, the page works like a sealed envelope. It may already be full of your words by then.
For survivors
If this page is about you: someone built it because they love you, and they've been quietly gathering your people. Nothing happens until you open it. When you do, you decide whether it stays, what's shared, and whether money is part of it. You don't have to manage anything or reply to anyone. And you can say no. If you do, everything goes back to the people who sent it, and nobody will ask you why.
You can also start one yourself. You'd be both the Angel and the person it's for, and that's fine.
