1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences, and provide usage information to site owners.

2. Essential Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. These handle authentication (keeping you signed in), remembering which campaign you're viewing, and detecting whether you're on a mobile or desktop device for layout purposes. These cookies are encrypted, transmitted only over secure connections, and cannot be accessed by third-party scripts. They cannot be disabled without losing the ability to use the Platform.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Platform in aggregate — things like which pages are most visited and general traffic patterns. Google Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information by default. We do not use it for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings. This will not affect Platform functionality.

4. Third-Party Services

Certain third-party services we integrate with may set their own cookies when you interact with them:

• Moov Financial — When you make a donation, the Moov payment form may set cookies to process your card securely. See Moov's Privacy Policy.
• Google — If you use "Sign in with Google," Google may set cookies during the authentication flow. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Device Recognition

For security and fraud prevention, we create a device fingerprint when you log in — a one-way hash of your browser characteristics. This is used solely to detect new or untrusted devices and protect your account. It is not used for advertising or tracking. You can manage your trusted devices through your account security settings.

6. Mobile App

The mobile app does not use browser cookies. Instead, it stores authentication tokens in your device's secure encrypted storage (iOS Keychain or Android EncryptedSharedPreferences), which is protected by the operating system and accessible only to the Handful of Angels app.

7. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser's privacy or cookie settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and you can clear all cookies at any time. Keep in mind:

• Blocking our essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
• Blocking analytics or third-party cookies will not affect your ability to use the Platform.
• Clearing all cookies will log you out and reset any stored preferences.
